Soltree's Lentil Dhal

What's in the jar:
- Red lentils
- Dehydrated vegetable broth
- Onion granules
- Garlic granules
- Cumin powder
- Coriander powder
- Mild curry powder
- Sweet paprika powder
- Turmeric powder
- Fine Himalayan Salt
- Cracked pepper
Additional Ingredients:
- 3-4 Tblsp any neutral oil (eg. Macadamia oil)
- 1 Brown onion chopped
- 1 Garlic clove minced
- 2 tsp fresh ginger minced
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 3 1/2 cups water
- 2 cups of veggies (eg. 1 cup of potatoes chopped and 1 cup of zucchini chopped)
- You can also add some chilli flakes it you like it hot
- Heat the wok to medium heat and add oil.
- Add onion and sauté for 1-2 mins until translucent.
- Add in garlic and ginger and stir for 1 min
- Pour in the Soltree Lentil Dhal Mix
- Stir for around 3mins until lentils are fully coated and spices have had time to become fragrant.
- At this stage you can add your optional extras like your choice of veges and chilli flakes if you like it hot.
- Pour in 2 cups of the water and stir through
- Cover for 5mins then stir
- Pour in Coconut milk and stir through
- Cover for a further 5 mins then stir
- Add in last 1 1/2 cups of water and stir through
- Cover for 5 mins then stir
- Check to see veggies you chose are cooked, if you chose potatoes you may need to cover for another 5 mins on low.
- Turn off pan and serve with rice or enjoy on its own or with some crunchy papadums!
- Fresh coriander
- Coconut yogurt mixed with a little bit of apple cider vinegar to drizzle
- Sprinkle some sumac, paprika or chilli flakes for looks
