Soltree's Friendship Soup

INGREDIENTS:
What's in the jar:

  • Red split lentils
  • Vegetable broth, chicken or beef bone broth (check the jar)
  • Tri colour quinoa
  • Brown rice
  • Parsley
  • Garlic granules
  • Onion flakes
  • Himalayan salt
  • Pepper
  • Ginger powder

Optional additions (some or all):

  • 1 Brown onion Diced
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic chopped
  • 1 Thumb sized piece of Ginger minced
  • 2 Cups of veggies of choice diced
  • 5 Jars of water
  • Extra salt to taste
  • You can also add your favourite protein as well if you like.
Note there are a few different jar options:
Check the jar to see which kind of dehydrated broth powder yours contains:
  • Vege broth (GF),
  • Beef bone broth (GF)
  • Chicken bone broth (GF)
METHOD:
  • Heat a large soup pot to medium heat and add oil.
  • Add onion and sauté for 1-2 mins until translucent.
  • Add in garlic and ginger and stir for 1 min.
  • Pour in the contents of the Friendship Soup jar.
  • Stir for around 3mins until mix is fully coated
  • At this stage you can add your choice of veggies and optional protein.
  • Pour in 6 jars of water and stir through.
  • Cover for 5mins then stir.
  • Repeat this process over the course of an hour.
  • Check to see the rice and lentils are cooked through as well as the veggies. If not keep going with the process, adding in some more water if needed.
  • Check flavour and add salt if needed.
  • Serve and enjoy
